Stephen Strasburg Named Nationals' Opening Day Starter

Washington Nationals Manager Davey Johnson has announced that Stephen Strasburg will be the starter for the Nats on Opening Day.

Opening Day for the Nationals is April 5th in Chicago against the Cubs.

Johnson also announced that newly acquired left-handed pitcher Gio Gonzalez will start Game 2 in Chicago for Washington.

Events DC and D.C. United Announce RFK Stadium Lease Extension

 

From Teri Washington: Events DC and D.C. United today announced an agreement for the team to play its home games at RFK Stadium for the 2012 and 2013 seasons. RFK Stadium has served as the team’s home stadium since its inception in 1996.
