VERGE Ensemble performance at the Corcoran

"The venerable Verge Ensemble, which has been rattling D.C.'s musical cage since 1973 with smart, innovative programs of new music…" -The Washington Post

VERGE ensemble concludes its highly successful 37th season with a dynamic and varied set of world premiers, all composed for VERGE by an inspired field of local composers, as well as composers from across the U.S. The program includes The Cellar Door for piano, cello, and electronics by Gina Biver; and Jeffrey Nytch's Notturno for flute, clarinet, violin, cello, and piano. Violinist Lina Bahn performs Keith Fitch's latest work, and VERGE members Frederick Weck and pianist Jenny Lin collaborate to present video ix. A reception follows the performance.
