LocalJazz Artist Loide Jorge Performs at Jazz on Jefferson | Events

From Whitney Stringer: Loide Jorge, a DC based jazz vocalist will perform at Jazz on the Jefferson, a special free performance series during the final weekend of the National Cherry Blossom Festival. The event will take place on Sunday, April 22nd at 1:15 p.m. on the steps of the Jefferson Memorial(located at 701 East Basin Drive in Southwest D.C.).

As a World Jazz artist, Loide’s varied musical influences come from her native France, and roots in Mozambique and Guinea-Bissau. Her sound is best described as “Afro-Lusophone. During the last year Loide has performed at Blues Alley, Bohemian Caverns and the Newseum for The Keepers of the American Dream Awards. Catch her live during this free performance to close out the Nation's Greatest Springtime Celebration.
