FOOD ALERT! Restaurant Violations In Your Area

WASHINGTON, D.C. (WUSA9) - Small, brown mystery pellets at a Connecticut Ave. bistro, a repeat closure at a pizza place, and a "heavy" roach infestation at a Mexican restaurant are all part of this week's WUSA9 Food Alert on area restaurant closures.

See the video to judge for yourself.

Inspectors closed Lillies on Connecticut Ave, NE, New York Pizza on Florida Avenue, SE, and Taco Mex on Old Columbia Pike.

All the restaurants passed health department re-inspections and have reopened.

Our WUSA9 team spotted the mystery pellets at Lillies after it passed a re-inspection.

When we visited Lillies, workers told there was no one on duty licensed by the District in food safety, which is a violation inspectors noted in their closure report.

Inspectors also cited a dead mouse in the refrigerator and a worker touching ready to serve food with his bare hands.

Official: Boston bombing suspects had planned attack for July 4th

(USA TODAY) -- The suspects in the Boston Marathon bombing had originally planned to strike on July 4, but chose the race because it coincided with the time they had finished assembling the explosives, a law enforcement official said Thursday.

According to hospital interviews with surviving suspect Dzhokhar Tsarnaev shortly after he was captured, the suspects apparently finished constructing the explosives well before they had originally planned and chose to act sooner rather than wait, said the official who is not authorized to comment publicly.

It was not immediately clear, however, whether the suspects had identified a specific July 4 target that corresponded with a later completion time, the official said. But the suspects allegedly settled on the marathon after noticing preparations for the race shortly before the event.

Remains of Boston Bombing Suspect Claimed

(USA TODAY) -- The body of Boston Marathon bombing suspect Tamerlan Tsarnaev's was released at 5:30 p.m. Thursday by the Massachusetts Office of the Chief Medical Examiner to the funeral service retained by Tsarnaev's family, spokesman Terrel Harris said.

The medical examiner's office does not make public the name of the family member who claimed the body or the funeral home that is handling the remains, he said. Tsarnaev's widow, Katherine Russell, issued a statement earlier this week saying she would relinquish her rights to his remains to his family.

The medical examiner determined the cause of death Monday, but the death certificate will not become public until the funeral service files it at Boston City Hall, Harris said. City Hall is closed for the day, so the death certificate will not be filed today.

Miley Cyrus Reveals Bare Backside in 'V'

(USA TODAY) -- Miley Cyrus is finally addressing all the chatter about her relationship with fiancé Liam Hemsworth in the new, May issue of V magazine.

"I'm not home with my boyfriend all the time. We work. Every week it's 'Are they broken up? Because we don't see a photo of them,' " she says.

A passionate Miley goes on to say, "I don't have time to go to Starbucks with my boyfriend every morning. I wish I did, but I don't. I'd rather chill at my house and be there for the time I actually get to spend with him."

She adds, "And then I'm at the studio all day. He gets up to work out at six and I come home at five from the studio. I put this record before everything, and I've never done that with anything. I've put too much into this record to put anything else in front of it."
